Pollies and Press gather for shoot event

Pollies and press earlier this month returned to the Canberra International Clay Target Club for the annual shoot event.

After last year’s Christmas event was washed out, there was a strong turnout, keen to hone their skills and setting their sights on the trophy.

As you all know, I’m a huge advocate for law abiding shooting and the many benefits this great sport has to offer. Which is why the Parliamentary Friends of Shooting was formed.

At our many shoot events, we’ve been fortunate to attract some of Australia’s elite shooters such as Olympic and Commonwealth Games medallist Suzy Balogh, on hand to share expert guidance and tips.

A big thank you to Suzy, the Canberra International Clay Target Club for hosting the event and SIFA - Shooting Industry Foundation of Australia for sponsoring it.

I would also like to acknowledge the National Press Club of Australia for providing delicious catering, and of course to all who attended and made it such a fantastic day.
