Standing up for LAFOs in Senate Estimates

Nationals Senator Bridget McKenzie seeking answers on the ban of firearms and ammunition during COVID

In senate estimates today again trying to get to the bottom of who, what and why it was decided to shut down the sale of firearms and ammunition to law abiding firearm owners (LAFOs) during the COVID pandemic.

While Australia’s Chief Medical Officer was restricted to extent by cabinet confidence, he will be investigating further the claims that firearm ownership is linked to domestic violence, as used by the Vic Labor Government to target and shutdown the industry.

Our LAFOs are fed up with the discrimination and we will continue to stand up for them in parliament.
